Barbara and Marilyn are sisters who are extremely creative and love to sew . They started their company, Enchanted Valley Arts, in 2007 by designing patterns for the 2007 Seattle Shop Hop. Business has only gotten better for them. Barbra lives in Poulsbo, WA and Marilyn lives in Pocatello, ID, but they manage to design pattern after pattern through the mail and online. On the best of occasions they get to take a trip to see each other and work together face to face; that is where the magic seems to happen! Right now they have more ideas than they do time to get them down on paper. They recently got back from the sewing expo in Portland, OR and are brimming with excitment and even more ideas! Great things are sure to come soon! When they aren't dreaming up new patterns or sewing new designs (or taking care of their husbands!), Barbra teaches kids' art classes (oh yeah, she is an AMAZING artist too) and Marilyn works at a quilt shop (also quite the artist, although she tries to deny it). They are so busy that they have inlisted the help of Marilyn's daughters to keep things running smoothly. Christy has been working her heart out sewing samples for shops, and Kelly (that's me!) has been keeping the website up-to-date. I may be a little biased (haha sewing pun!) but I'm amazed at the creativity that comes out of these women. I'm also grateful that they waited until after they had children (and grandchildren) to start their business so we can share in the excitement!
